Time is against you. Decode passwords, examine every clue, use hints wisely, and identify the culprit before the clock runs out.

Your Score Starts at 5.0
Every investigation begins with a perfect score of 5.0. The only way to lose points is by submitting an incorrect final accusation. Each incorrect accusation deducts 0.75 points, and your score can never fall below 0.0.
Passwords and hints never affect your score — they only reduce your remaining investigation time.
Accuracy determines your score. Speed determines your ranking.
The Clock Is the Real Enemy
Each investigation has a fixed time limit. The countdown begins the moment your team activates the case and never pauses.
When the timer reaches 0:00, the investigation ends automatically.
Wrong Passwords Cost Time
Some evidence terminals are protected by passwords.
The first incorrect password for a section reduces your remaining investigation time by 3 minutes. Every additional incorrect password for the same section reduces it by another 90 seconds.

Hints Cost 5 Minutes
Each section includes one optional hint.
Using a hint reduces your remaining investigation time by 5 minutes. It can save your team when you're stuck — but every minute matters.
Only one hint is available per section.
The Final Accusation
When you're confident you've solved the case, submit your final accusation.
Minor spelling mistakes or close variations of the correct answer are accepted — we're testing your deduction, not your typing.
An incorrect accusation deducts 0.75 points from your score.
The accusation step resets, but all previously unlocked evidence remains available.
Team Size
The purchaser becomes the Lead Investigator and may invite up to four teammates by email.
Each invitation contains a unique, one-time access code linked to that email address. Both the email address and the code must match to join the investigation.
All team members share the same live investigation progress and see updates in real time.
Leaderboard Ranking
Completed investigations are ranked by: 1. Final Score (highest first) 2. Completion Time (fastest first)
If two teams finish with the same score, the team with the faster completion time ranks higher.
The leaderboard updates automatically as soon as a team completes its investigation.
